This week was way better than last week. We were able to find lots of new investigators through the area book and just chatting up people in the street. The coolest thing was we just stopped to talk to a random guy and turns out he had visited Temple Square in Salt Lake and wanted to learn more and so we taught him about the Restoration! Its pretty incredible to be serving the Lord and see that he helps us be in the right place at the right time to find the people here that are prepared to hear the gospel!

We also had una capilla abierta (open house) in the stake center. My companion and I were in charge of the first room where we got to welcome people and just testify of our Savior, Jesus Christ to different groups for 3 and a half hours. It was the best. We got to listen to the words of Christ (I think the same recorded words that are in the Salt Lake City Temple Visitor’s Center at the Christus statue) and then share our personal testimonies. It was such a special experience and I know some of the visitors there felt the spirit really stongly (because 2 people after the tour asked the Elders what they had to do to be baptized. ¡bacanazo!)

We also had an area broadcast specifically for Peru and Bolivia. We heard from Elders Cook (of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles), Corbridge, Godoy, and Uceda, and Sister McConkie. They talked a lot about missionary work so I’m hoping the members were listening and are ready to invite their friends to hear the gospel. Also they talked about the temple and what a blessing it is to be able to visit the House of the Lord and make sacred covenants.

This week I love the scripture in 3 Nephi 5:20. I for sure agree with Mormom and am supoer grateful for the chance to help others know of the Plan of Salvation here in Peru.

This sign always makes me laugh “Se vende cosas usadas” basically means “We sell used stuff”. It’s very vague and we always crack up!
Photo of the Week :) Me looking uncomfortable while Hermana Valencia took my picture.
