I’m so excited to be working here in Bolivar. We have seen a TON of miracles this week, it’s unreal.
We are just finding lots of people to teach, including a family who is super excited about the gospel. We were sharing the story of Joseph Smith and The First Vision and the Spirit was so strong, The mom was almost crying and everyone just said they felt something different as they were listening. It’s incredible to be a missionary and be able to witness moments like that.
Also, the Women’s Session of Conference was so great. My favorite part was when Sister Eubank said that when we keep our covenants, we gain access to the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and we’ll be able to receive inspiration and different ideas to solve our problems. It was super powerful because as a missionary, I don’t know what the people need to hear or how to help them know that Heavenly Father loves them or that the church of Jesus Christ has been restored and will bless their family, but Heavenly Father knows the needs of each one of his children and he will help us know how to help others. It is something I’ve seen a lot of this week, not only with investigators but also with the Hermanas that we are in charge of.
Also, it’s the coolest thing that this weekend we have the chance to listen to the living Prophet of God!!! Check it out on lds.org.
Finally, the coolest thing ever: We called some sisters from the ward to go on splits to go get the investigators before church and they show up with a VAN!!! We were able to pick up 3 converts and 2 investigators and pass by the houses of a bunch more people and all in all 5 investigators came to church and it was incredible. So for all you homies at home with Mormon vans and time to kill before church: help the missionaries get their investigators to church. It was the biggest blessing ever!
