Just wanted to tell you that nobody in our ward here plays the piano and now I’m repenting for not having practiced when I took piano classes…sorry ;)
This week was great.
Tamara, Gabriel, and Gustavo got baptized!!!
Tamara is 14-years-old and Karolaine’s (with the blue hair) sister and was so excited to get baptized. At first, like her sister, she wasn’t really sure if she wanted to or not, but over time she started going to seminary with her cousin and learned that the Book of Mormon is true. We helped her see that all the small changes she was making in her life show her repentance and that she was super prepared for her baptism.
Gustavo is 12 and Gabriel is 14, their mom and grandma are members but they were inactive for the past 20 years. It has been cool to see the change in their family as they started to come back to church and as Gustavo and Gabriel started to learn about the gospel and read the Book of Mormon. At first, they were super shy and didn’t talk at all but it was so cool to see that once we gained their trust they shared more with us about what they felt and that they wanted to get baptized. They shared their testimonies at their baptism and it was great.
This week we are so excited for general conference and the opportunity it is to hear the messages that God has prepared for us at this specific time. It is such a blessing to have the guidance of a living prophet and 12 apostles who speak for God. I know that if you watch general conference this weekend, you will receive the answers to your questions or problems and feel that what they say are God’s words directly to you. Watch it. :)
PS: On P-day we went to the national stadium with the rest of our zone, that’s what all the photos are.
