This week (April 16, 2018):
Karin and Kiara got baptized!!!! Karin is Karolaine and Tamaras mom, and Kiara is their younger sister. We’ve been teaching this family for such a long time and they finally were able to get baptized and we are so happy for them. They’re so great, I love their family and am so happy that they’ll all be able to live the gospel together :)) Karolaine gave a talk at the baptism and I was so impressed, she’s only been a member for like a month and her talk was so spiritual.
This week has been great in other ways, too. We’ve been able to teach various families and one came to church yesterday. We are also teaching a cute grandma named Olga, she’s in the middle of chemo treatment because she has cancer but she still comes to church. So basically nobody has excuses to not go to church. #inspiration
Also, we had interviews with President Larson. He is always so inspired and I am learning a lot. Elder McCune (an Area Seventy and friend of the Larsons) came to visit along with another friend from their ward back in Idaho and we had a special training with them. It was a super uplifting experience and we are just pumped to be able to work here in the mission. Rimac is the best, the mission is the best, I love the Book of Mormon, and thats pretty much it :)
