This week Elder Gary E Stevenson (from the Quorum of the 12) came to Lima and we got to go to the CCM to listen to him. Also, Elder Falabella was there and their wives and it was such a great experience. I’m so thankful that God calls Prophets to guide us.
This week I am learning a lot about how to recognize and follow the spirit. I think that it’s one of the most important things in life because if we always recognized and followed what the Holy Ghost tells us, we’d always do what God wants us to do. BUT it’s hard sometimes when we are distracted or focused on ourselves or think we know what to do.
Sometimes I feel stressed out because I feel like we (missionaries) do EVERYTHING possible so that people feel the spirit and come to church and get baptized and accept the gospel and all that jazz and it doesn’t work out and I don’t know what else to do. But yesterday I realized that I don’t have to know what else to do because God knows what else to do. He knows these people way better than me and knows what they need. It’s still kinda hard though. jajaj.
Seriously, this week I have had some pretty cool little experiences where I just think “Hey, you should talk to this person” or “Hey, you should knock on that door” or “Hey, you should be a little nicer”. And as I’ve followed that guidance from God, we’ve been able to teach some really great people who need the gospel in their lives.
Also, Jaqueline FINALLY is going to get baptized this week, she already passed her interview and is super excited!!! #prayforjaqueline
